This release is primarily a vehicle for showcasing the talents of Don DePoy (guitar, autoharp, banjo, and lead vocals). He is assisted by Martha Hills on bass and harmony vocals. The 16 selections come from a variety of sources and include "Dooley," "Truck Driving Man," Roseville Fair," and the instrumental "Over The Waterfalls." One of the more interesting performances is a medley of the traditional "Water Bound" and the Warner Mack country classic "Bridge Washed Out." In summary, "On The Road Home" is a pleasant offering of acoustic music that echoes with simplicity and sincerity.
